Umeå University School of Restaurant and Culinary Arts provides a
variety of exciting and inspiring education programs created and de-
veloped in close cooperation with the expertise and top profession-
als in this field. All our programs provide unique future prospects for
students who would like to start their own businesses or work in
leading positions in hotels and restaurants, or in the food and bever-
age industries.
Apart from the excellent permanent lecturers of Umeå University
School of Restaurant and Culinary Arts several renowned profes-
sionals with extensive culinary knowledge and experience from the
restaurant field also work for us. Gert Klötzke, professor, Per Blomqvist, university lecturer, and Ia Orre Montan, founder of the
Swedish Sommelier Association, participate actively and regularly in
our programs. So do the chefs of the Swedish Culinary Team and of
the Chef of the Year Association.
Moreover, researchers and lecturers in subjects such as food and
nutrition, business administration and chemistry also lecture on our
programs. Thanks to the extensive and valuable network of Umeå
University School of Restaurant and Culinary Arts students have the
possibility to do internship in many of Sweden’s most renowned
restaurants.
